Lajedo - Fajã Grande
Situated in the Southwest Coast of Flores Island, this track was the link between the village of Fajã Grande and Lajedo, goind through the village of Fajãzinha and Mosteiro, all of them making part of the Municipality of Lajes.
Escavated through the pastures, passing on top of large hills and hugging places of the past, this course contains a range of peculiar and breathtaking landscapes.
When we walk between the Lajedo and the Mosteiro, you can see the magnificent Rocha dos Bordões, compared to the Giant's Causeway in Ireland, with its huge amount of vertical columns that so well characterizes this island.
Following the course, and already over the village of Fajãzinha, we are faced with a astonishing images that results of a meticulous creation of nature, that can only be recorded in human memory.
