Located on the northwest coast of the island, this track was in the past the only connection link between the village of Ponta Delgada (Santa Cruz Municipality) and the village of Fajã Grande (Lajes Municipality). Molded betewn rocks and hydrangeas walls, shortcuts through the vegetation that opens in our way, we can fascinate yourself with the phenomenal slope landscapes, starting with the Albarnaz lighthouse that slowly fades away, the "huge" Islet Maria Vaz, the Monchique Islet (the westernmost point of Europe), the magnificent Quebrada Nova dos Fanais, that comes out of nowhere as if it was an appearance, the nearby island of Corvo that step by step says goodbye while we turn over the hill to the west side, all this give this trail enough ingredients to create an amazing soup of memories.
